I love being empowered. I love to empower myself, and find power from external sources like advertisements and memes. I feel like I do a lot of empowering, but I still don’t feel fully empowered. Unfortunately, I feel like the more power I get, the more empowerment I need. I require constant reaffirmation of my power and it’s very hard for a girl to be empowered 100% of the time.

These days, it’s really hard to know who the good guys are. It seems like every 20 minutes another celebrity or politician is saying something that doesn’t empower me, and it’s very taxing to have to get on Twitter and fight the good fight by making jokes about them. That’s why it’s extremely important for companies to market products by co-opting social justice movements and letting us know that our money is going to a good cause.
